What works
Everything
What does not
game seems to run a little slower and keyboard play seems to be a bit more sluggish than in Windows. Jumps I easily did in Windows were harder in Wine.
What was not tested
All levels after 2-1.
Additional Comments
I could only get this to run by installing directx9_beta through wine (not sure why), chosing ALSA as the sounddriver and using emulation (as hardware-accelerated sound crashes the game).

How to run and get sound

For the standalone-version you should:
- use an empty wine prefix.
- Set the sound-driver to ALSA and DirectSound Hardware Acceleration to "Emulation" instead of full.
- install directx9_beta from winetricks
- if needed set a virtual Desktop to your native screen resolution.
