What works
Everything

What does not
Multiplayer but it's not a wine issue. Sierra's arcanum servers have been down for a few years already.

What was not tested
Nothing

Additional Comments

The menus weren't working until I used the switch -no3d to start the game. Apart from that it works smoothly even on a netbook

Stopped working..
by Justice McPherson on Saturday October 22nd 2011, 20:26
Immediately after doing an update, Arcanum stopped working. When I try to run it, the desktop appears then immediately vanishes.
This came between 10/10 and 10/18, which I note also managed to break the XFCE screen saver. (at least one of my screen savers is now a stationary text list of error messages.) I have the changelog for the relevant update, though don't want to spam people with it.
I'd like to say 'I went back to the previous packages and tested them' but I don't know how to do that. 'force version' only offers a variant of the current packages.

Reversion with 1.3.28
by Justice McPherson on Saturday September 24th 2011, 23:39
When I updated Wine, I suddenly got the double-mouse-click bug back, and the game slowed to a crawl. Anyone else experiencing this or have suggestions how to get the game back running?

Need Help?
by Eric Hearn on Monday January 17th 2011, 22:16
Questions about my wine setup or procedures? Don't hesitate to ask!

Also, if anyone manages to get the 3d functionality lemme know I'll try to replicate and update this thread.

Whoops, looks like Eric Hearn has already figured it out and his setup steps are more thorough than mine. Look at his instead.
