HOWTO

What do you need ?

- A fast CPU. We suggest minimally quad cores.

- A fast graphic card. Something like nVidia GTX2xx/4xx/5xx. The game will probably not work with AMD card

- A fast Linux distro. Something like Gentoo or Arch Linux. You can run it on some slower user friendly distro like Ubuntu, Fedora... but you will have low fps and it will be hard to play it.

- Some free time

How to install it ?

- 1.) You have to install the latest Wine with this patch:
http://bugs2.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=27310

- 2.) You have to install these winetricks:

d3dx9 d3dx9_26 d3dx9_28 d3dx9_31 d3dx9_35 d3dx9_36 d3dx9_42 d3dx10 d3dxof devenum dinput8 directmusic directplay directx9 dmsynth fontsmooth-rgb quertz nocrashdialog

- 3.) You have to install the game and patch it with Wars patch 1.5 for better performance

Game not recognizing GPU or OpenGL, Wine Debugging glitches out securom
by Richard Gionfriddo on Tuesday June 5th 2012, 6:03
I get the following message when launching in the terminal:
Direct3d9 not available without OpenGL
Direct3d10 not available without OpenGL
Direct3d9 not available without OpenGL

also, debugging trips a security module of securom that is aimed at SoftICE, so I have to put "WINEDEBUG=-all", or else a securom message pops up, stating error message 3000, followed by the program terminating.

I am running with a GTX 560 Ti, AMD Phenom II 965, 16 GB of DDR3 1333, and Ubuntu 12.04 running LXDE and Wine 1.5 beta. Games such as Counter-Strike: Source, GuildWars 2, Live For Speed, and Unreal Tournament 3: Black all run fine, with ample FPS. Same with native Linux/GL programs like Savage 2 and OpenArena. I followed the instructions listed here.

Help? Thanks.
