MX 2004 Professional - new document / open document bug
by Micah Knight on Thursday July 10th 2008, 15:51
If Flash crashes when you open a document or start a new document, please take the few minutes to vote on the bug #11267. The more votes, the more attention it gets I would think.
Anybody have a work around for this or know which native DLL is needed to get this functional? Maybe if we look at the differences between the basic version of Flash and the professional version we can narrow it down.
As I recall, professional adds some of media classes and database classes. It has the additional Components and the ability to embed FLV.
Any suggestions on which native DLL I should try? As I get some time I'll gladly setup a testbed to get this resolved. This is the last program keeping me stuck on Windows for the time being.
Can not install MX Pro

Hi,
Any ideas what might be wrong when I try installing the FLASH MX Professional (7.2) from original installation disk, the installation hangs up just before the decompression part is over dumping lots of errors like this:
err:ole:marshal_object object doesn't expose interface {be6115a1-7de5-48dc-ad2a-25060e00fce2}, failing with error 0x80004002
err:rpc:I_RpcReceive we got fault packet with status 0x80004002

OS not supported?
by Tony on Monday September 19th 2005, 19:12
I'm running wine 20050725 on Ubuntu 5.04 (Hoary).
I have installed DCOM98, and copied stdole32.tlb from an xp install to my fake_windows windows/system32 folder. I have also set wine to emulate winxp in the config file. When I try to install Flash MX 2004 everything works great, starts install shield, etc. But before completing the installation it ALWAYS stops with an error window stating that Flash is not supported on my OS. What's the problem???
