What works
Installing through Steam.
Starting with a Wine prefix I use to play Hearts of Iron 3: Starting the game, nothing happens after the initial opening picture.
Starting with a clean Wine prefix: After installing vcrun2005, vcrun2008 and d3dx9 through winetricks and copying d3dx11_42.dll to system32-folder and setting it (native,builtin) [The dll was mentioned in terminal output as missing.] the game still doesn't even start up.
What does not
Opening videos, menu, the game itself. Anything past opening picture.
What was not tested
Using the menu.
Playing the game.
Multiplayer.
