What does not
Software installs but does not run. Googling for the errors shows this software to be using the FlexLM licensing manager (DRM), which uses direct hard disk access among its tricks--see:
The Version 4 programmers also require their special programming cable; they have told me that it uses a standard USB -> serial chip in it, however: thus, if the programmer can be got running the kernel (Linux, *BSD, etc) needs to be patched for the proper USB ID's because they're not in there as of 2.6.33.4 (probably not in newer ones, either yet).
What was not tested
Normal functionality since it crashes upon startup.
Additional Comments
I was told verbally they had it running under Wine once, so I will be e-mailing them to find out how they did it (presumably a build without the DRM, I'm guessing).
