I have coded a small program to fix a bug in Wine which causes an error message on launch, by changing a 1 value in the header of the main program executable.
To use it, open a terminal and cd to the install directory, so something like:
cd .wine/drive_c/shiny/sacrifice/
then download this program by entering:
wget jeffz.name/code/pe.exe
then to fix your game executable (assuming it is called sacrifice.exe):
