S3TC Texture Compression
by Andreas on Sunday August 5th 2012, 10:44
If you're on Intel graphics and you have enabled S3TC texture compression in ~/.drirc make sure to disable texture compression for this game. Same goes probably for other games build on id Tech 3.
For Jedi Outcast set "r_ext_compress_textures" to "0" in jk2config.cfg/jk2mpconfig.cfg.
GLExtension fixed exe's
by Frozen Fox on Sunday April 3rd 2011, 13:47
I hacked together some GL_Extension fixed exe's thanks to a nocd/check crack someone else made and information provided by the guy who made the jedi academy fixed exe's. This is for those who want to run the game through the Steam UI as it should be, and without adding extra stuff in front of launching steam. Instructions and comments in the file under Wine-HowTo-GLExtensions-Fix.txt. It would be worth your while to take a look at that readme.
