The test results you have selected are very old and may not represent the current state of Wine.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
Installing the game, Launching the game, Logging with the official account (need internet for this), launching my saved world from my other installation, moving in games is ok,
A bug with Keyboard (in your minecraft world,) when you dont
launch
the "Wine Task Manager" before launching the game
Run "Task Manager Wine" before the game is mandatory if you want to control your character!
What was not tested
Play in multiplayer, but i have an account and for the loggin the game need a connection to the server, if this is working, playing online too.
Additional Comments
IMPORTANT:
For installing the game, you need the java, i have simply downloaded the lasted windows java vertion and installed in wine.
After, i have lauched the game, and i have launched my world and it's work fine.
VERY IMPORTANT:
After installing and before launch the game, launch the Wine Task Manager, if do not launch this, when you load your world in minecraft, you ave no commands except the mouse, if The task manager is launched, all commands is ok (For cons, I do not know why this bug.)
If you follow the guidelines, the totality of the game is working 100%
For a better compatibility , i recommend to use for launcher the minecraft.jar version but launched under wine*
in terminal:
"Wine java -jar minecraft.jar"
If you tipp this in the terminal, this will launch the java file not in linux, it will launch with the Java from Wine (after install, the directory is under the
"/mnt/home/root/.wine/drive_c/users/root/Application Data/.minecraft/" from wine)
*The minecraft.exe in wine is not full stable, in certain moments, when i launch the .exe, i have error in terminal and nothing is launched (random bug)
Hello,
Some of you may be having mouse moving issues. If so, close Minecraft, and launch Wine Task Manager. Then launch Minecraft again, keeping the Task Manager open until you quit the game. I don't know why it works, but it does.

Linux version available
by Justin Chrysler on Wednesday May 25th 2011, 7:02
There is a linux version of the game available for download and play. Due to the game being written in java you can just run "java -jar minecraft.jar" as long as java is installed on the system.
I have tested this using the latest stable IcedTea6 java binary in gentoo and it runs better than the windows version.
