What works
The tip submitted by Krzysztof about synchronous mode works, and I enjoy my pdf-xchange experience ;]

What does not
When scrolling, when the pointer is pressed on the scrolling bar, if for some reason (when pressed) it is moved from the bar, the document starts to rapidly and randomly scroll in an unstable fashion. It makes scrolling with mouse unusable, as it is hard to maintain your coursor at the scrolling bar all the time. When the scrolling and asynchronous rendering will work, I'll give platinum :) As everything else including commenting etc. seems to work.

What was not tested
Pretty much everything that does not involve extensive document reading and annotating.
