Installation works without problem.
Application starts, window is presented correct.
Menu's are shown.
What does not
Trying to open an image file - be it from the menu, of by clicking the icon - gives no reaction in the application window. On the command line the message
Internal program error: d:\FineReader50\Engine\Shared\FineATL\ArchiveTools.cpp, 83.
is shown.
What was not tested
When there's no image that can be loaded, the rest of the functionality of the application cannot be tested.
Additional Comments
My wine version is actually 1.5.6 (comes with distro), which is not on the list.
All wine versions from quite a few previous openSuSE versions, all x86_64, let the application did work OK (Gold, of even Platinum rating.)
