So far version 4.0 is free, but according to DAZ it won't be after intro period. New features, new generation Genesis character system.

What works
Application installs and works with some tweaking. Some of the Daz content installers work.
What does not
Because msvcp60.dll does not exist, the installation of contents becomes the error. However, the installation of contents does not have any problem by installing a VC6 redistribution version.
Movement after having started although a screen flickers does not have the hindrance at the time of start slightly in comparison with DAZ Studio 3.x Advance.
Studio 4 is slow to a load when use contents of Studio 3. However, I seem to be a problem of Studio 4 because a similar phenomenon is caused on Windows 7.

Studio runs, ContentManager fails

Installed 32-bit version, but only on a fresh wine prefix.
The Studio itself runs and appears to be smooth, however the ContentManagerService does not, and does not report an error message. Therefore, content doesn't appear inside the SmartContent tab.

After a little research and trial and error, it would appear that the x64 version of DS is a complete no-go while the i386 works fine. Other users on DS' forums confirm this and I can get the i386 to work fine, also.
