Studio runs, ContentManager fails
by Jonathan Hepburn on Saturday September 1st 2012, 0:34
Installed 32-bit version, but only on a fresh wine prefix.

The Studio itself runs and appears to be smooth, however the ContentManagerService does not, and does not report an error message. Therefore, content doesn't appear inside the SmartContent tab.

32-bit yes; 64-bit no
by Ben Roth on Sunday March 25th 2012, 14:29
After a little research and trial and error, it would appear that the x64 version of DS is a complete no-go while the i386 works fine. Other users on DS' forums confirm this and I can get the i386 to work fine, also.

Newer 4.x versions
by Ben Roth on Thursday January 26th 2012, 23:53
They install fine, minus the content database manager which I believe is a service.

However, DAZ Studio itself won't start up and Wine gives the following error repeatedly until a stack overflow:

wine: Call from 0x7fd16d94266a to unimplemented function MSVCR100.dll.__C_specific_handler, aborting

I can't come up with a way to get around it yet. :(
