Running game version

Game runs from terran.exe, the Alien Crossfire stand-alone expansion runs from terranx.exe.

The installer fails to install two packaged executables, but installs the game anyway, and the missing files don't seem to impact anything.

The music "skips" a fraction of a second from time to time. This issue has been previously noted in bug 30811. I don't know if it's fixable.

If I'm not mistaken, the game runs in 16-bit colour mode; though it's barely noticeable given the games graphics. I am using AMD Catalyst drivers, which might be the issue.

Given the above niggles, it gets a Gold rating instead of a Platinum.

Why are comments being deleted?

I don't appreciate that the comments were deleted from this page, Rosanne.

The game is very old, so all comments are potentially relevant as problems aren't easily patched out. Using older versions of Wine for best compatibility is also perfectly legitimate. The version of the game with comments is still up for retail packed with the same version of Wine, so again, not outdated. Really wonder who gave you control over these comment boards.

P.S. I no longer remember the contents of my former post, but I'm sure they were relevant. Please HESITATE before deleting comments in the future.
