Transfer of files other than MIDI files (although they should work fine)

Additional Comments

Works almost perfectly with a slight annoyance after installation: the program does not run properly but instead pops up its 'About' dialog. To work around this, add a shortcut to MSFDM.exe, with the option -DMNSELECT, like this:

'/home/username/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/YAMAHA/MSD/MSFDM.exe' -DMNSELECT

Note: replace username with whatever your Linux username is

Not seeing USB connection
by Eldritch on Friday July 13th 2012, 6:37
I've managed to get MusicSoft Downloader to run on my Mac but I cannot get it to "see" my Yamaha keyboard. Running under Mac OS I can get the keyboard to talk to the mac and play notes in Garage Band which play on the keyboard and vice-versa so I know the USB cable and connection is working. Anyone got any ideas?
