Arma II: Free is a totally free version of ARMA II, with lower resolution textures and a multiplayer focus.
It includes a mission editor and free access to dedicated online game servers.

What does not
Sound is finicky, may require xact and dsound.
Odd muzzle flash/shadow glitches unless StrictDrawOrdering is enabled.
LoDs jump around a lot, causing trees and objects to flash and textures to go darker or lower resolution when moving or looking around.
Sometimes crash dialogues appear on loading screens, but they do not seem to have any effect on gameplay.
Mission map entities sometimes flash.
Profile Settings dialogue flashes constantly.

Most missions, vehicles.

Needs Wine built with raw3.patch from bug 20395 and StrictDrawOrdering set to enabled either via winetricks or the Wine registry.

white flicker and impassible screen

Does anyone else get to the mission screen where you can scroll and it tells you what to do. But it flickers white and you can't press cancel or continue? Any solution to this? I am using 1.5.9 with the suggested patch
