Additional Comments
Didn't want to seem to login to a 2-step account, just sent me to my Google account settings, but with it off it signed in just fine.
Picasa showed itself as 3.9 for Linux which is nice, Google still cares about us and Picasa!
Also required me to install IE8 (IE7 worked, but had script errors after login) before the login page would render.
but as folks noted, older picasa may work better; there's probably a
good URL to download it directly from google, but until we have that
handy, www.oldversion.com/windows/picasa/ might let you get
an older version that can authenticate with wine.
Picasa options broken
by Vladimir Nikšić on Friday February 10th 2012, 5:22
I'm using wine version 1.3.36 and the latest picasa 3.9. Almost all of the features concerning the photos is functional (crop, export, all the new features, even email, though that took some tinkering with winetricks). However, when I try to go to Tools -> Options, I get a small dialog box saying "Invalid window handle". All I can do is click OK three times and the options appear. The problem is some of the tabs are empty. For example, "general" is empty, while e-mail is not empty and I can adjust the settings, "file types" is empty, the other tabs appear to be working. I can't make some changes, otherwise it would be fully functional.
