What works
Upgrading from 4R2 to 4R3 (previous upgrade, 4R2b, did not work in Wine). Web activation. Opening models, ZSphere modeling, OBJ export, save & load Tools, sculpting. Startup is real slow, but I hear it is the same in MS Windows. Works gracefully with really big models.
What does not
Slight problems with changing to other apps (user interface freezes sometimes). May not be Wine problem, since several million poly objects were handled.
What was not tested
Advanced & new functionality, several plugins.
Additional Comments
I suppose this works as well as in MS Windows. Quite good response times with insanely big models.

Full install (not upgrade) Zbrush 4R3

Installed and worked great on Ubuntu 12.04 Lts using Wine 1.4. The first install did not report any problems, but it would not launch Zbrush. Un-installed and re-installed and now works great.
