What works
Basic installation of .Net Framework version 2.0 as a dependency
Initial installation of the software up to the product activation
What does not
Product activation immediately following the installation of the core software. The program "ControlActivation" fails to run and crashes with an unhandled exception.
What was not tested
Actual use of Nitro PDF Professional 7 under wine, as it will not run without first running the activation program.
Additional Comments
For those more competent than I, the terminal reports
"Unhandled Exception: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Windows.Forms, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' or one of its dependencies."
There may be a way to load the System.Windows.Forms in a manner that allows the installation to finish.
