First I patched the game with the official patch, then with the latest unofficial patch, then the highres patch.

Arcanum original 2 CD release. Patched to 1.0.74. Unofficial patches installed in this order: UAP091225, Hi-Res Townmaps and HighRes 1.1a.
Using a Nvidia 400 series card with Nvidia 295 series drivers. Running without issue @ 1600x900.
Need to use 'wine eject' from terminal to change CD's for install to work properly.
WineTricks: Requires Microsoft GDIplus to be installed. Settings need to be changed to ddr=gdi and orm=backbuffer.
GDI fixes the upside down graphics issue(Nvidia only problem?). Backbuffer fixes the flickering sprites and other graphical problems.
