The test results for this version are very old, and as such they may not represent the current state of Wine. Please consider submitting a new test report.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
launcher (using the -dx9single flag)
quests (only tested one, but the cutscenes etc worked without a hitch)
WvWvW (Tested for mostly the duration of the stress test)
structured PvP (Tested for a few games worked fine)
crafting trainers (Didn't visit them all but the few i saw worked fine)
What does not
none of the functions connected to trade (real money or otherwise).
using mouselook with unpatched wine (tested using wine 1.5.9 with rawinput patch and 1.5.11 without)
launcher (without using the -dx9single flag)
high quality shadows and shading. (Takes the performance on modern hardware way below the point of playability)
What was not tested
Only tested using Nvidia GPU and Intel CPU using the latest available versions of the kernel and nvidia proprietary drivers from the arch repo (on the 21st of aug).
None of the more advanced trading functions were tested because the trade windows were blank.
!!Disclaimer!! Tested during the stress test on the 21st of aug. There have been atlest two game updates since then, might not be true when the game launches. !Disclaimer!
There are some weird performance issues testing all possible combination of graphics settings (on one resolution then tested resolutions by staying at low settings and swapping them) yielded that only two of them had _ANY_ effect. I have a Nvidia gtx 560ti using the latest proprietary driver i got between 7-15 FPS when shadows and shader quality was not set to low. All the other settings could be set to anything desired and played fine with 25-30 fps. This frame rate remained constant whatever the load the game was under. IE. cityscape with many players performed the same as standing alone facing a wall.
Using the "playonlinux" default settings for a guild wars 2 installation works fine just auto detect graphics and turn the shader and shadow settings way down low and it should run fine.
