Everything so far.
What does not
What was not tested
(Started with no ~/.wine dir.)
Ran winecfg, set "Z:" to "/.wine" (like Mike.) Without doing this, game stops on title screen.
Ran winetricks, "Select the default wineprefix", "Change settings", enabled "orm=backbuffer", OK. Without this (on a Radeon Xpress 200M), the game settings window is normal, after that the game window forms, but the contents are just whatever was behind the window plus some cruft, the music plays, and mouse clicks on the areas where there would normally be icons work and produce affirmative audio.
$ ln yourpath/BadPiggiesInstaller_1.0.0.exe ~/.wine/drive_c/
$ wine c:\\BadPiggiesInstaller_1.0.0.exe
(- the usual installer spiel, OK, accept, "Launch Bad Piggies", game works! Very smooth on a single-core 2GHz CPU.)
