What works
When doing a fresh install, the text is garbled. So I copied the fonts from WindowsXP. Then Fritz8 installs from the installation-cd. (Open terminal - cd /media/cdrom0 - wine "Setup.exe"). An icon is created in your home-directory or sometimes on your desktop).
When you perform an analysis of a chess-game for the first time, the CD is requested again.
Access to playchess.com works fine too!
What does not
When installing on Kubuntu, the sound wasn't working.

Multimedia CD with comments and training with Kasparov were not tested
