====================================== Dark Reign - General notes ====================================== I had a old installation (Dark Reign + Rise of the Shadowhand + 1.4 patch) laying around on a windows box so I just copied the installation dir C:\Programme\Dark Reign\ to linux and renamed it to /home/joachim/darkreign/ afterwards dont' forget a chown like:
====================================== Dark Reign - Future of War ====================================== Didn't test the installation routine but worked in the past.
====================================== Dark Reign - Rise of the Shadowhand ====================================== Didn't test the installation routine yet but didn't work in the past and stopped with 80%. Have to test that again. (can someone please test it and post here?)
====================================== Dark Reign - Patches ====================================== These patches can be found here: http://www.auran.com/games/darkreign/drpatchesf.htm or http://www.migman.com/land/darkreign/patches.htm
=== 1.2 ======================================== v1.2 is the second update issued for Dark Reign. The first was issued in fall '97. This update includes all the old v1.1 patch functionality as well as a host of new improvements. You do not need to have installed the previous patch for this update to work, but if you did that's OK as well. If you have already installed the Dark Reign: Rise of the Shadowhand expansion pack, you do not need to get this patch. You must have one or the other installed, however, to get the final update, patch v1.4
=== 1.3 === ?
=== 1.4 === The latest patch - a must!
=== 1.4 (art package) === You will need to have already installed the Dark Reign v1.2 patch. The main purpose of this art update is to allow players to play against expansion players who are using the new armies or have maps on the new tileset. The update also includes the most current versions of the previously released 20 bonus multiplayer maps.
