Graphics bug out.
by Oscar McNoe on Monday May 16th 2011, 4:13
The intro movie plays fine, but then I just get the splash screen (Instead of the one that says press enter). I can still interact with the game, I just can't actually play it! I did manage to get through to the menus once, but the graphics were so screwed up. I couldn't even see the buttons.

playing with gamepad
by Jan Roedig on Monday October 4th 2010, 6:49
when using dinput8 override keyboard works fine but gamepad does not.
if you want to use your gamepad i recommend to change back dinput8 to builtin after creating a player profile in nfsu2.

only problem is when you reconfigure buttons you have to do it twice as nfsu2 now recognizes your gamepad as gamepad AND keyboard.

btw: installation worked fine with mounting both cd images at once in two virtual drives with cdemu.

ubuntu 10.04 lucid lynx
wine 1.3.3
athlon 64 4000+
geforce 7600 gt

Installation?
by Warren Dumortier on Wednesday January 27th 2010, 10:48
Most of you seem to successfully install it, how do you manage to install it? My version is with 2 CD's, i don't think there's any other version however, maybe a DVD version then...

Got Input working, but freezes at loading screen
by Dave on Sunday January 20th 2008, 22:18
I can install the game, run it with keyboard and mouse due to native dinput8, go though the intros, navigate through the game menus but when I attempt to start a game it freezes at the loading screen (Shadow of car in menu drawn incorrectly but this happens in a lot of games run in wine and isn't major).

Keyboard input

How to enable keyboard input in NFS U2?

[post new] [reply to this]

Works
by kriko on Thursday December 21st 2006, 15:25
It works, however keyboard input doesn't work, so I can't get past welcome screen. And mouse cursor is jumping back to the center of screen.

I get a lot of such error messagess:
fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_ValidateDevice (0x1acf50) : stub
fixme:d3d:IWineD3DImpl_GetDeviceCaps Caps support for directx9 is nonexistent at the moment!

NFSU2
by Daniel on Saturday December 2nd 2006, 6:16
WINE wouldn't even run the installer for me, which is a shame, because I was going to test this out....oh well...as soon as I find where the WINE directory is, I'll place some DLLs in their respective places, and try again.
