How to get sounds working
by Mikko Tuumanen on Saturday December 13th 2008, 12:05
This is what I did:

-download directx8 for windows 2000 from www.brothersoft.com/directx-8.0-for-win2000-download-51962.html
-extract the resulting DirectX80NTeng.exe with cabextract
-copy all the files to $WINEPREFIX/drive_c/windows/system32
-set dsound to native in winecfg

dsound.dll
by constantin on Thursday July 10th 2008, 17:31
I tried setting the dsound.dll to native but get an error: sound card couldn't be initialised.
Tried a native win-dll as well as alsa, oss, alsa with emulation, oss with emulation, always with same result.

With build-in sound I get horrible noise. Well... no simpsons for me now :(
