Everything tested so far - install, run, icon, printing (colour too). So easy. Help system detects firefox.

Dates appear as mm/dd/yyyy which is wrong for australia but we can live with that.

very impressed.. blown away. The setup even installed the icon on the desktop.
load installation cdrom
at a command prompt cd to cdrom then
wine Setup.exe
answer the prompts..
ignore message about rebooting.
then click on desktop icon. there it is. to load backup of data I unzipped the myob archive manually and copied it to the hard disk.

The solution to the code 1244 error is to open the company file for
either single user access or multiple user access with TCP (ie don't use
NETBIOS/NETBUI).
(This is wine version 1.1.24 and on MYOB Premier 12.)
