  • Game starts (briefly)


What does not

  • On startup a dialog box pops up claiming that "CPU NOT SUPPORTED". My computer has a P4-M CPU. Please post if other CPUs do not trigger this message.


What was not tested
It was impossible for me to get into the actual game.

Here is the output.  Note that while there is a similar output before attempting to run an unpatched version of the game, running that version yields better results:

Desktop resolution

If you want to have your desktop resolution and not the game's 1024x768 you can add the line below in the Alpha Centauri.Ini file.

Works for me without crashes on Fedora 14, wine 1.3.9.

Random crash

Game work (wine must be like XP, not win98) but still randomly crashes.

managed to

managed to get alien crossfire running in wine 1.2. Very very slow, though.
