Cutscene Videos do not work in v1.1.23
by Dominic Ferraro on Wednesday June 10th 2009, 0:16
The cutscene videos do not work "properly" in WINE version 1.1.23. The -interline command line option allows you to play the videos, but the video is very dark, even during gameplay. The interline really affects the game experience in a negative way, so it would be great if this were fixed. Gameplay would be much more satisfying if the interline were only enabled during cutscenes, but it would be best if the actual problem was fixed.

I wonder if this problem happens on lots of old Windows 98 games..?

The really atmospheric videos won't work on my machine. They are awfully slow, interlaced and only about one frame per second is shown (the others skipped). Anybody got a solution for this?

When running this game. Keyboard input is ignored in full screen mode until mouse is clicked. Keyboard input is ignored in windowed mode until mouse has entered window. But if I disable the 'Allow the window manager to control the windows' option in winecfg, keyboard input works.
