Additional Comments
"winetricks dinput8" fix is necessary for mouse in menus to work and to be able to reassign controls. However even with "winetricks dinput8" fix mouse has tendency to get stuck without reaching the edge of the screen. Increasing mouse sensitivity in the game settings helps to decrease chance of mouse getting stuck. If it still occurs during the game quick fix is move it quickly all the way to the opposite edge of the screen and back. Selecting option "Allow DirectX apps to stop the mouse leaving their window" doesn't affect anything, emulating virtual desktop doesn't help either.
Admin note: rating changed to conform to the rating definitions.
Also in combination with PulseAudio on x64 game has tendency to go mute after some time playing.
Also unless in game launcher terrain texture resolution is set to half in game textures will not cover the ground in full.
Update: 0.9.51 works great. Just use that, unless there's some reason you can't. :)
Hello everyone,
It's been brought to my attention that Crimsonland appears to be broken in Wine starting in 0.9.49 - I've not been obsessively testing with every release, sadly, so I or someone else will have to go back and find the version and specific patch that breaks it.
I'll have time to do this in about two weeks, but if someone feels like doing the git bisect in the interim, by all means, do so.
In the meantime, 0.9.43 works terrifically, and I'd love reports of other people's working versions to help narrow this down. :)

Blank screen + system lock in 1.1.9 and Crimsonland 1.9.9
by Myles Forrest on Saturday December 13th 2008, 22:22
I'm running Slackware 12.1, install of Crimsonland 1.9.9 works fine, and the program starts, asks for a video mode, then crashes with a black screen or locks my system.
I was wondering what additional information I should gather before posting a bug?
