Version 6.1 adds a number of new features, in particular a better installer, a simple explosion and special effects generator, drawing surfaces, and an improved image editor. Also a large number of small changes were made and many bugs have been corrected.
Old test results
The test results you have selected are very old and may not represent the current state of Wine.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
Installing, creating games, saving, sprite editor, room editor, time line editor, background editor, sound editor, default drag and drop functions.
D3d functions work.
External DLL's work (A direct3d one was tested with a few minimal errors.)
What does not
Text entered into pop up boxes doesn't save.
Text entered into the script boxes doesn't save.
The surfaces are offset upwards.
The built-in external file functions don't work.
Half the time, if not in full screen mode, the game will not update/redraw the view properly. It will draw the first frame part way, then freeze in the same way it freezes during a certain error in Windows, where the drawing stops and the math keeps going.
The auto complete list at the bottom of the code editor is backwards.
Quits when switching from full screen to windowed; fails vice-versa as well.
What was not tested
Sounds
Many functions (untestable)
Overloading the program
Additional Comments
Strange zbuffer/depth problems with the d3d stuff. May be PC specific though, and definitely fixable.
Note that this page may not always be up to date, currently (27/12/2009) version 7 is not available for download here.

runs fine

I've had no problem with the problem with an 'unexpected error', I can run the games fine. However, I do need to run them fullscreen, or only part of the game will be visible (the coordinates of objects seem to be screen-space, not window-space).
