Old test results
The test results for this version are very old, and as such they may not represent the current state of Wine. Please consider submitting a new test report.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
Creating a new remote
works
Connecting to another computer
works
Administering the remote computer
works
Requirements:
DCOM98 IE6.0 SP1 InstMsiA.exe vcredist.exe (or was it vbrun60sp5.exe?)
Set everything in wine's dlls folder to buildin, except advpack, quartz, comdlg32
What does not
WinAw32.exe segfaults when you attempt to use or edit one of the pre-configured remotes. Workaround: create a new remote.
Poor functionality. No ability to add new remotes. Workaround: Don't use the default setup. Choose "custom install" and go for a remote-only install.
Program appears to hang on exit but it really hasn't: The window has just shrunk to postage stamp size.
Help-about doesn't work
Can't cut and paste from windows help (wants native ole32?)
What was not tested
Hosts. Do you really want to remote desktop your wine? There are many linux solutions that are arguably better.
