The test results you have selected are very old and may not represent the current state of Wine.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
With Direct 3d:
Installation
Intro movie (in the pyramid and dance scene) plays with Direct3D rendering after that it is not possible to continue.
With OpenGL renderer:
Game becomes playable but has some graphical glitches. (I tested on Mandriva Linux 2010.2 (update of 2010.1) with Nvidia drivers 173.14.28, Wine 1.3.9 and Kernel 2.6.36.2-desktop-1mnb) using a virtual desktop 1024x768, shadows were set to "none".
What does not
After the intro movie speech plays back okay but the screen remains black with Direct3D. The workaround is to enable the OpenGL renderer.
With the OpenGL renderer the game becomes playable but has some graphical glitches.
What was not tested
Playing the whole game
Additional Comments
I am using a cover-CD from "Computerbild Spiele 1/2010". I don't know if there is any copy protection but installation and intro movie seem to work okay.
Needs an old version of Wine or changes to the configuration
Use wine-0.9.31 .. 0.9.43 to play this game with the default Direct3D9 renderer because of several regressions. These old versions should work except the item icons in the inventory may not be drawn correctly (bug #21354).
The maintainer would appreciate if you would find out whether one of these old versions works better than the others.
You can use much more recent versions of Wine (such as 1.1.34/36) if you change bin/release/plugins.cfg to use the GL renderer instead. The speech output issue (bug #21209) may still affect your machine.
