opening the game, settings, solo mode. probably everything else.
What does not
typing. clicking on textboxes is okay, but typing in them crashes the game. this problem occurs anytime something is typed including when trying to login to westwood online. it is impossible to type in a username.
What was not tested
westwood online, network games.

i think the typing issue is a regression. i couldn't login to test online play (which believe it or not people still play on)

Warning! Since Wine-1.3.28 There is problems in the graphics engine and Wine compatibility! The screen goes dark, and the whole game is working except the graphics.
Mouse Scroll Problems

Warning! In Wine 1.3.15, the scrolling of the mouse is broken! It is fixed in Wine Trunk and will be probably fixed in Wine 1.3.16

Typing problem

It seems that the typing in textboxes problem is indeed a regression. The game is OK on Wine version 1.1.34 and below. Starting from 1.1.35 it is broken.

Switch to 8-bit color mode

To get around bug #20380(random crashing), switch to 8-bit color mode in the options menu. This should clear up the crashing problem and allow the game to run.
