crash always at the same circumstances
by Davide on Sunday January 3rd 2010, 17:16
Ken Sharp, why did you delete this post before? do YOU think bugreports must be occulted?
whenever the game camera is looking to troops moving to give an attack, i get wine to crash just an instant before the actual fight happens.
The crash seems caused by some lights and sounds the attack should trigger.
Get this crash with wine 1.0.1 and 1.1.33.
Wine logs from game lunch to crash (1.1.33) :

Multiplayer - Out Of Sync Problem
by ClausM on Wednesday November 25th 2009, 12:53
Single player mode runs like a dream, but the multiplayer does not: Player using wine gets out of sync error after 5-10 minutes of gameplay. Tried 1.2 patch -> no effect. I've got wine version 1.1.30 and no other special modifications as far as I know.
Strange Error

fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0xf2f6b4,0x00000000), stub!
It talks about ALSA then there is a graphic error.
i just tested it today, got it running out of the box quite fine, with ubuntu 8.04 in a core2d and a gforce 8600 gt and nearly no glitches.
only thing that happened was, the shadows where screwed. but i turned it off, then back on and it seems fixed. also setting ur max video memory to what it really is, helped a lot.
id advise this string UseDirectHW as y too, improved sound for me.
Installation of non-english versions
by juanfgs on Tuesday January 22nd 2008, 5:42
Recently I've bought the game, and the installer didn't recognize my CD. The problem is that the CD has the filenames encoded in other format than UTF-8 and special characters aren't recognized. In order to solve it, you might have to copy all the installer files to your hard drive, and change the filenames manually (in the spanish version the culprit seems to be 'Léeme.txt'), after that you can run the installation from the hard disk and everything should work fine.
Si el instalador no reconoce tu CD, copia los archivos a tu disco duro y renombrá los archivos que contengan caracteres especiales (por ejemplo 'Léeme.txt'). Despues corré el instalador desde el disco duro, debería funcionar.
Now I have to find the spanish nocd crack, damn securom, having to crack games that I've bought :(.
I have the latest wine and am using ubuntu, as well as the no cd patch (just like the test specs) andI received an unhandled exception error when I tried to load the app after install
Shadows
by Lattyware on Monday August 27th 2007, 13:54
I have found setting Shadows to their highest level makes them appear correctly. In fact, the game runs perfectly except for an odd text glitch which inserts (annoying, but not in any way bad) symbols at the end of lines. Plays well. I also tried a LAN game, and that worked fine with 4 people (Me and another Wine user, and two windows users.)
