Old test results
The test results you have selected are very old and may not represent the current state of Wine.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
* Installation * Shortcut placement on KDE 3.5.4 desktop * Starting the demo from the final install screen * The demo starts with a few company logo still images which may be clicked through and the sound of the ocean in the background. Once the few initial logo screens are bypassed, the main game menu loads with two options but they can't be selected because of a mouse movement bug (see what doesn't work).
What does not
~ Mouse pointer icon always returns to the center of the screen with any user movement. Choosing from the two menu options provided in the demo menu is difficult if not impossible (and even so, if the lucky user is able to select from one of the options, this same bug continues when the game starts making gameplay impossible). Since I was not able to choose the exit option to exit the demo, I had to press CTRL+ALT+F1 and login to type the following in order to get the demo to stop so I could use my desktop again: (without quotes) "killall wineserver", "killall SpringBreakDemo.exe" and I did "killall explorer.exe" followed by "killall IKernel.exe" for good measure? When the program was finally closed, I noticed when returning to my desktop (via CTRL+ALT+F7) that my desktop resolution was now 800x600 rather than the usual 1024x768.
~ Uninstall via "wine uninstaller" (without quotes) failed, manually removed files and desktop shortcut icon. The wine uninstaller error message for the attempt to uninstall this demo was: "An installation support file could not be installed. (0x80000ffff)"
What was not tested
* Nothing was tested past the what works above because of the mouse pointer icon/cursor centering problem
Additional Comments
+ I'm pleased to see this installing once again, now if someone can
find out how to resolve the bug with the mouse pointer icon returning
to the center of the screen over and over again with any movement, this
demo and many games with this issue would probably be playable!
