only black screen
by Le Gluon du Net on Monday August 20th 2012, 5:21
If like me you have only sound with a black screen, disable GLSL shaders and set directdrawrenderer to Opengl:
use winetricks, menu "Select the defaults wineprefix", "Change settings", check "glsl=disabled" and "ddr=opengl".

Hope this help.

My config: Ubuntu precise 64 - AMD Radeon 7850

Works on ATI
by Carlos Rodriguez on Friday November 20th 2009, 13:37
Works on AMD Athlon X2 3600+ 1.9Ghz - ATI HD 4350 512MB - 2GB 800 Ram - Wine 1.1.33 but add some register keys

Also copy microsoft.net, fonts and system folder from win installation to windows folder in wine

Run regedit and browse to: Current_user/Software/Wine/Direct3D. If Direct3D key doesn’t exist, create it. You may want to set following values:

This is for ATI:

"DirectDrawRenderer"="gdi"
"VideoMemorySize"="512"

runs slow if nextegen content select and sound is bad
