What works
So far got a good way into the first mission. Everything apparently works smoothly. Save game, checkpoints, cutscenes, menu, key binds.
What does not
Intro movie, including the nvidia splash animation. Just a black screen is displayed for these (although the audio works fine)
What was not tested
Installation. The game was installed on a windows partition, and I'm running it there directly, with a no-cd patch applied.
I haven't completed the first mission yet so I do not know if any end-of-level or beginning-of-next-level movies will not render (as the intro movie doesn't)
Additional Comments
I did not need to make any changes to the registry, this is also a very new wine install - MS fonts are NOT installed.

only black screen

If like me you have only sound with a black screen, disable GLSL shaders and set directdrawrenderer to Opengl:
use winetricks, menu "Select the defaults wineprefix", "Change settings", check "glsl=disabled" and "ddr=opengl".
