Additional Comments
i did none of the HOWTO's mambo jambo to install this.
just download the setup from:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=1e1550cb-5e5d-48f5-b02b-20b602228de6&DisplayLang=en
run: wine ie6setup.exe /q
if it doesn't work then run:
wine ie6setup.exe /c:"ie6wzd.exe /d /s:""#E"
this will download ie6 installation files for offline install.
then go to the folder where you saved the files and run:
wine ie6setup.exe /q
it should install without problems :)

How to disable "Internet Explorer Script Error" windows
by Dif on Sunday February 28th 2010, 8:08
Does anyone know how to disable the "Internet Explorer Script Error" dialog windows of IE6?
I had to install it just for the Star Trek Online's launcher and I keep get this kinds of errors (probably because the webpage the launcher is showing has some html/javascrip code IE6 doesn't support), but since the launcher is working fine anyway I would like to ignore those errors.
filters not working
by Jakub Klawiter on Friday February 26th 2010, 17:53
I've just installed ie6 with winetricks, to the list of NOT WORKING things we can add one more: opacity using microsoft's filter setting.
e.g. here: ende.com.pl opacity transitions are working under ie6/windows XP, and not working with ie6/wine
unable to run IExplorer after closing it, favourites
by V on Monday March 23rd 2009, 12:53
After installing IE 6.0 with ies4linux, I am able to run it. But after closing it, I unable to start it up a second time without restarting my computer. The same with IE 5.5. Is there something I have to configure? Or is this just a bug in ies4linux, and so I should install IE manually without using ies4linux?
I also have difficulty with the "Favourties" menu. I can only bookmark urls by creating them in the default "Links" folder they provide. Otherwise, the favourite does not appear in the drop-down menu nor does it appear if I create another folder or rename the Links folder. Is this a bug in IE on Wine? Or is this related to a problem in the installation?
