The test results you have selected are very old and may not represent the current state of Wine.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
Installing the game.
You need to have the playing disc mounted.
For running the game I used a NO-CD crack.
Running the game.
I compiled my own version of wine 0.9.37 and I used a clean install (no changes or what so ever in winecfg).
In versions of wine <0.9.37 the game was only playable with using software rendering. It complained about unimplemented stencil buffer functions. It does seem to work now with the huge amounts of work on Direct3D (thanks devs). I don't know if it is me, but i think the game is still a little dark, does omikron have a brightness setting??
What does not
As mentioned above, i think the game is still a bit dark and I don't know how to fix it?
What was not tested
Changing the brightness of the game...
Safedisc won't let you launch the game unless you apply THISfixed exe. This is delivered as a US no-cd patch but it should work for all versions, and others cracks simply don't work because they require some unimplemented kernel32 functions.

This game runs poorly on windows, crashes occur frequently (once every ~15 minutes)

Subject: Problems running "Omikron : The Nomad Soul" under Windows XP
We received many e-mails reporting problems running "Omikron : The Nomad Soul" under Windows XP. Released in 1999 months before Windows XP came out, "Omikron : The Nomad Soul" has therefore never been tested or certified to be compatible with what was - at the time - still a "soon to be" operating system. Please, make sure your version of Windows XP has its "Windows 98 compatibility mode" activated. If so, and if you are still experiencing problems, please contact Eidos or the customer services of the shop where you bought the game for a refund.

I'm running windows 2000, but windows 2000 and xp are the same thing.
