Installation worked without any error messages, and only one warning message on the console. An application link was created on the linux desktop.
Invoking program with the desktop icon started it without error messages. I tried all the working steps to a final panorama: Importing JPEG images, setting camera details, starting the automatic stitching, cropping the final image. It all worked flawlessly.

Refining the stitching details was not tested, as I was happy with the result of the automatic stitching process.

Last application I booted Windows for. Now my XP partition is erased :)
