Sonic is Back again in a all new Epic Adventure for the PC, You can play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, Big The Cat, or E102 Gamma, you'll et a unique adventure every time as each character has their own deep storyline and unique type of gameplay. Don't forget to visit your favorite chao in the chao garde, where you can take a break from saving the world and pit your chao against others in a variety of tournaments.

What works
Main game, side quests, pretty much everything else.
If you have the Sold-Out Software 2-CD version, you will have to take an
extra step to install it. Go into winecfg and explicitly mount the
cd's as a drive. Please note that while CD1 will show up as
SONIC_DX_DISC_1, CD2 may show up as SONIC_DX_DISC_2_. (Note the last _
at the end). The problem is that the installer doesn't work well with
disc 2, You may have to write a drive name in winecfg as
/media/SONIC_DX_DISC_2_ or however it shows up on your system.
What does not
The cutscenes may still not work even if you install WMP, but the good news is that for this game in particular most of the cutscenes are irrelevant and not that really unique anyway. If this is your first time playing the game and you have not seen them then just look them up on youtube.
