Make a suitable bottle:
Get the ie6 map from where you installed the IEs4Linux
Copy it to wherever say /home/User/ie6
run:
WINEPREFIX="/home/User/ie6" winecfg
Change from Windows 98 to Windows XP
Step three:
Install Babylon-Pro
say Babylon_Setup.exe (or another filename) is in /home/User.
To start it up with your new made bottle run:
cd '/home/User'
WINEPREFIX="/home/User/ie6" wine Babylon_Setup.exe
Run threw the Wizard
Step four:
To run babylon you can make a sh script containing:
#!/bin/bash
cd '/home/User/ie6/drive_c/Program Files/Babylon/Babylon-Pro'
WINEPREFIX="/home/User/ie6" wine Babylon.exe
exit 0
And there you have it Babylon-Pro running almost perfectly!

Babylon 6 R20 still does not work

Hey,
I'm running Hardy on my laptop and I tried the solution of ies4linux + R20. All works fine but when installation ends and I want to run my Babylon, it just loads its icon into the panel next to my system clock, but does not respond to any click. No window, no nothing.
Can anyone help me? any ideas? Babylon used to be my Savior in xp...

I have a problem with babylon 6:
when I open the main window (the one you use to type the word to translate) the size of the window is very small, it is impossible to see anything (it is just a square grey window, not the one shown in the picture posted here)... any suggestions?
I can see the msxml3 in winecfg. I changed to all possible dll modes in winecfg (Builtin, Native, Builtin then Native, Native then Builtin, Disable) but nothing.
I used the babylon 5.0.6 and 6.0 installer and both I got a dialog that says:
"MSXML 3.0 is missing on your computer.
To continue with Babylon Setup you must install it first.
Do you want to install MSXML 3.0?"
