HOWTO

After the setup program has completed, do the following

  • In the install folder's 'Support/DirectX' folder, extract d3dx9_29.dll by running 'cabextract Feb2006_d3dx9_29_x86.cab', then copy d3dx9_29.dll to Wine's 'windows/system32' directory (usually ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32)
  • Place msvcr71.dll in Wine's 'windows/system32' directory
  • Be sure to run the game from the root directory where you installed it (the folder with bin/, data/, uninstall.exe etc.). Run it with 'wine bin/s2dng.exe'

I found solution of this problem when I installed game for Windows, now I can open a game use a Wine progam.

Settlers crash after start

Hi!
I have problem... I do evertything with HOWTO but my Settlers II 10th demo don't work with my wine-1.0.

There is what wine write about this:
