The test results you have selected are very old and may not represent the current state of Wine.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
Installation, starting the basic client.
What does not
Patching, connecting to the game server. The patcher sits on the screen forever, never enabling the "Start" button so you can click on it. And when you try to login to the client, if you run whatever version you currently have directly without running the patcher first, it never logs in to the server. It just sits at the login screen saying that it's authenticating.
What was not tested
Anything past connecting to the game server, as in, actually playing the game.
The latest version that worked for me was the 9.35.

strange network problems
by Florian on Sunday December 16th 2007, 16:23
i did a network capture while i tried to run both exe-files
and i found an interesting thing...the server always sends the same packets...always with a data-length of 13 and my pc sends ack-packets back
the problem seems to be, that the packets don't reach wine
but the packets showing the change-log for the updater go through
What is the actual fix?

Guys... I'm simply losing my mind with this... lol
Is there a tried and true way to get this working? I can't install patches and when I DO get the program to start is let's me enter and ID and PASSWORD then says trying to connect to front end server and that's it.
Works till login (Requesting Authentication)
by Christian on Sunday July 22nd 2007, 16:21
Hi,
I'm using Slackware, I (offline) patched the game and started the game via 'wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Programme/NDOORS/GoonzuEng/Goonzu.exe' (from '~/.wine/drive_c/Programme/NDOORS/GoonzuEng/', else I get the helmet.txt eroor).
It loaded, I entered username and password but then it stays at the message "Requesting authentication from front server". Any ideas?
