Seems that other users are able to play, so it must be close. perhaps a problem with x64?

find your LSANS.ttf file in C:\...\Civilization III folder

(for example. in console type this: cd ~/.wine/drive_c/.../Civilization III )

and copy &; paste your LSANS.ttf file to LSANS.fot.

your error message will goes away :)
