In order to play flawlessly I had to change wine's user.reg file, which is located in wineprefix directory. I added this:

where 64 is my graphic card's RAM.
I didn't have to use any patch or crack to install and play the game. I installed the game from a polish DVD version 1.1 (Extra Klasyka collection).

Low Resolution Fix

The subtitles and Split Screen do not work in medium or high detail. The Front-Buffer Effects are the cause of this. Set graphics to Custom and in Advanced Graphic Options turn all settings to on or high, but leave Front-Buffer Effects Off.
It runs nearly perfectly until you reach a point in the game with 2 simultaneous viewports which happens frequenly. As soon as the second viewport displays the first one goes black. There's a scene where a policeman comes to the door in which one viewport is the policeman and the other is the main character. The main character's view goes black and prevents you from progressing any further in the game.
Asking for DVD forever

I successfully installed the game, yet I can't play it because it fails to detect the DVD ! Please is there any way to "work around" that problem ? Thanks in advance !
Upgrading problems

i've got an upgrade problem from version 1.0 to 1.1
I get the upgrade .msp file to run using 'wine msiexec /p *.msp'
but it never completes when i start it and run it it just say
"Patching complete
The installation ended before it could complete
no changes has been made to you system"
I think this is somewhat disturbing since i like to play this game.
