Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
it all works!
What does not
There is nothing that doesn't work that I can see. It works better than it did in windows.
What was not tested
I looked at all the settings. They all are working or appear to be working.
Additional Comments
This works great on both my desktop (ubuntu 10.10) and my laptop (Ubuntu 9.10). Sometime it does not see the drive. either reinitialize, if it still doesn't see it, drive to change the windows emulation is all I ever have to do. I always keep de_ryter on Win98 and usually keep this program on NT4, but change as stated above to XP, or 98.
RipIt4Me uses DVD Decrypter as a ripping engine and FixVTS to clean the ripped files.
It shouldn't take you much more time for you to use this method than if you had used DVD Decrypter on its own.
In short:
Start RipIt4Me.
Insert your original DVD that you wish to backup in your DVD reader/burner.
The DVD will then be ripped to your hard disk.
After the rip, RipIt4Me will clean up the DVD and, if necessary, remove the bad cells from the VOB files, remove any fake titlesets and fix the pointers by running FixVTS.
Once this is done, you may choose to have RipIt4Me make your DVD start at the first valid menu.
Finally, RipIt4Me will open the ripped files in DVD Shrink for you.
