Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
-installation
-Complited the Demo (5-10mins of gameplay)
-sound, menu,options,and just about everyting.
What does not
-installer gives error when selection it to show readme file readme file is shown anyway.
-weird keyboard issue with the ~ key used for setting unit status bar on/off it bug Wine different way than Windows(happens also retail version 3.1) this issue is so small it's impossible to note it without compating behaviour to Windows.
-in WineOSS bug 8724 happens and for some reason even if ALSA is the default OSS is still used unless manual override.
-When starting campaing game on narration in the top right corner where it say "Wind Speed" and Gravity color blinks from gray to black... this did not happen in Windows or in retail version.
What was not tested
-did not press link to go www.cavedog.com
-someting very small impossible to note without actually playing the Demo in Windows.
Please see how-to for version "Total Annihilation + Core Contingency + Battle Tactics + 3.1 patch" at http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=7306 , just ignore anything to do with multiplayer, core contingency installation and so on, and installation will be from the demo .exe , rather than from a cd.
Demo specific notes:
- I feel that the demo probably won't run playably unless you can set your screen resolution to 640x480.
- Note that the full TA retail version, with the 3.1c patch installed,
is I feel fully playable, doesn't have the mouse scrolling issue that
the demo has.
- essentially, unless you can set your screen resolution to 640x480, the demo will probably crash on startup, unless you use a virtual desktop. If you create a virtual desktop, you may find that scrolling with the mouse is unworkably difficult, because you have to position the mouse pointer exactly over the edge of the window.

I thought I would post a few links to the demo. Please note, I have not tested all of these.
