What works
The installer appears to work properly but only after satisfying
certain dependencies the installer has:
- the installer wants
winhttp.dll;
I downloaded winhttp.dll from
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?winhttp and put it in
~/.wine/.../windows/system32
After the
installer completes, if the "Launch application now" box is left
checked, the widget engine will be started.
Under GNOME, a system tray
icon appears which can be right-clicked on to obtain a context menu for
further operations. The "Preferences" and "Quit" options work. The
default widgets don't crash the system when attempted to load.
What does not
Launching widgets does not work, altough they are remembered for future
restarts and attempted to be loaded.
The error is "OpenWidget: Invalid
string encoding encountered"Clicking the "About" and "Heads up display"
menu options opens a strange square window in the top left corner.
The
window has no decorations and seems to not pe painting itself, keeping
the contents of the screen as it was when it appeared.
What was not tested
Widgets other than the default ones
